My thesis is due in 5 days. I have, therefore, taken a necessary break from...um....life?...until I get this sonofabitch done.
So I will leave you with two more items of Things I Will Never Do in Lab:
1. Leave my 15 flasks of autoclaved LB media in a very high-traffic, open-access hallway for more than 24 hours (or any hours).
2. Perform a low temperature growth by filling the room temperature incubator-shaker with ice, propping the door to the shaker open with a styrofoam test tube holder, and proclaiming to the world via sharpie on a paper towel: keep lab door closed-- temperature-sensitive growth in progress.
