I promise not to send you crap

Anyone else on FB seeing lots of those really effin' stupid status updates about crafts?

I am not crafty.  But I  would love all of my FB friends to send me their crafts.  Without having to do anything in return.

So I suppose my status update will have to look like this:

Pay it forward 2011:  I promise NOT to send something homemade to the first five people who leave a comment here.  To be eligible, you must repost this status, offering the same thing to five other people.

In other news, has everyone stocked their liquor cabinets in preparation for the spring semester?

I briefly wondered (to myself) if photos were counted as crafts... then I realised that it might be interpreted as "photos of me" rather than "photos by me".... so I dropped it before I said anything.. ;)

good luck with spring semester!

I too was curious what "homemade" meant. Food? Crafty artwork of some kind? Your leftover junkmail?

And just when you thought you had seen the end of the annoying chain letter emails, now they are doing it all over again on Facebook.

Sigh.

Thanks for that idea, Lab Mom. My plan for retirement was to learn to weld and make large, ugly, steel sculptures in the back yard. I think my wife would be much happier if I made crafty artwork out of junk mail. I think we got enough catalogs this year to build a house.

One of my friends actually posted that a few days ago. I was sure tempted to follow her lead...

If you weren't dickeing around on fucken facebook like an exhibitionist teenager, you wouldn't have to read these moronic inane "status updates". PROBLEM SOLVED!

Oh I saw that status update on a friend's status and thought 'what?'. I seem to remember seeing it on FB a while a go or wasn't it something similar but using email. Either way I ignored it.
