The machine or instrument that must DIE!

Over the years, I have had many an instrument or machine nemesis.  My aging laptop, the ornery HPLC, the $^&*# fax machine..... the list can go on.

And now?

The photocopier must DIE.

What would YOU most like to take out to a field and beat with a baseball bat?

If you're talking about inanimate objects: the GC-MS.

ALL fax machines IN THE WORLD. I hate 'em and don't see why we still need to have them now that we have scanners and email.

My Windows machine that goes into hibernate mode even though I've told it multiple times not to ever hibernate, and then refuses to come out of it.

If only *I* could go into permanent hibernate mode...wouldn't that be nice!

A certain automated system which remains unnamed due to my sensible net use policy. Designed by a programmer I'd like to also beat with said baseball ball. Why on earth would you design a system that basically cannot be proofed, easily quality controlled, and CANNOT BE CHANGED WITHOUT BREAKING? (I do feel better!)

On the otherhand, we actually have a fax machine AND copier that functions reliably.
