I absolutely do not believe in love at first sight. I hear of people who fall in love like that, but I don't understand it. At all. In fact, it takes me awhile to start to LIKE a guy, let alone love them.
So imagine my...um...amusement when a fellow grad student returned from a four day conference suddenly dating someone he met there. Met at a conference. From another state. From another time zone, in fact.
Then again, maybe I'm being a little too Judgy Mcjudgerson (it wouldn't be the first time). Maybe conferences are to scientists what match.com is to normal people?
